Where do you give lessons?
I travel during the week to give drum lessons in students’ houses in the Nottingham and Leicestershire area using their own drumkit in the comfort of their homes. So, if you have a kit of drums - I will travel. If you prefer, you can come and get your drum tuition from me in my own purpose built drum studio.
What styles do you teach?
Everything! From rock drumming to jazz or country to soul drum grooves, and all points in between. I like people to learn and study the styles and grooves of all their favourite drummers.
Recently I’ve been teaching some people grooves like "Rock Show” by Blink 182 , "Bombtrack” by Rage Against The Machine, "Black Parade” by MCR, “Newborn” by Muse, and “Beat It” by Michael Jackson. There’s always something new when you’re learning to play Drums.
Do you provide backing tracks?
There are loads of tracks to play drums along to, and I can record your drumming efforts for review later.
What about reading?
I’ll teach you to read that weird and wonderful musical notation stuff if you want to, because you can make lots more money by doing that later! There’s no point bashing for a fiver when you could have had a tenner.
