In The Field

Steve has played Drums all his life, studying technique with great drummers such as Francis Seriau and Charlie Morgan (Elton John) at Drumtech London.

Amongst many other varied projects, Steve has worked since 2004 with the UK’s definitive Pink Floyd tribute band, Think Floyd.

The subtleties of Nick Mason’s style with Pink Floyd are seldom captured with any accuracy, but Steve has studied the studio and live albums as well as any archive footage he can find.  The result is probably the closest imitation of Nick Mason’s style to be heard in any band.

The learning process never ends for a musician, and Steve continues to study new styles and varied techniques. He has recently undertaken masterclasses at the MLC in Nottingham with Claus Hessler
Massimo Russo and Thomas Lang.

Look in your local Theatre during Panto season, and a more refined Steve Farmer might be found in the orchestra pit, providing the essential percussion and some hilarious sound effects.
